Physical Development

Physical Development for Early Childhood
Physical growth is important just like emotional or cognitive growth. Strong muscles, good coordination, and increasing stamina give every child confidence, and reduce frustration. They get to explore safely and set a foundation for healthy habits for life. We believe physical development builds more than just strength. It comes with curiosity, courage and joy.

What Do Our Physical Development Program Includes?
Engadine Kindy Castle runs both outdoor and indoor physical activities every week. We plan exercises that teach children fundamental movement skills such as jumping, skipping, climbing, walking, running, hopping, balancing and crawling.
We offer a variety of playful and hands-on experiences. Children enjoy ball games, parachute play, a ball pit and a sand pit. We also provide hoola hoops, stepping stones, see-saws, obstacle courses using balance beams, climbing frames, cones and tyres.
On Fridays we host a special Shake and Move session for 30 minutes starting at 10:30 am to get everyone active while shaking off energy and having fun together.

How Does Physical Development Benefit Every Child?
Physical development help children in many ways. It improves their coordination and balance that supports confident movement in all kinds of environments. Stronger physical ability upgrades fine and gross motor skills which makes everyday tasks easier. These include running, climbing, even writing later on.
When kids know what their bodies can do, they take safer risks, judge distances, learn spatial awareness and build resilience. Physical activity helps with emotional wellbeing too. When children move, they release energy, reduce stress, share laughter and strengthen friendships on the go.
